up & down(photo)stream

Snapfish Is a photo sharing & gift creation platform that operates in many countries. Throughout a 7-year tenure here, many different projects and hats were completed and worn during this time. Probably too many to cover in its entirety for this overview. Below is a small sampling of that time, and some highlights over the time spent here include and are definitely not limited to: Revamping the Mobile App starting with the home screen but then moving onto components in the photo library as well as the store, menu section and then the checkout cart.

A lot of time was spent working through the navigation, and finding the way through new requirements such as the European-lead GDPR compliance was a great deal at the time when it was first announced - so getting all those permissions and use-cases was also quite the task. Another convenient transition, speaking also of usage and navigation; this is also where some experience (pun also intended) was gained with users as this was a foray as well into user testing. Becoming comfortable and familiar with accessibility compliance understanding grew a lot at this time. Also to note - mostly iOS screens are shown here for consistency’s sake, but many of these projects were done in Android too.

Flipfish - a ‘flipbook’ concept myself and 1/3 of the mobile development team did in a day’s work during one of our hack-a-thons. This takes your videos, makes a stop-motion slideshow out of it then makes it a book that the user can order.
